Privacy Policy

I use website analytics to understand what’s useful and what needs work. Here’s what that involves and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 3, 2026

1. Who runs this website

JALE’s public website is operated by Ruben Arevalo AI & Software Studio, based in McAllen, Texas. In this policy, “I,” “me,” and “the studio” refer to the website operator.

This policy covers visitors to JALE’s public informational pages and the use of Google Analytics on those pages. It does not describe the processing of private workspace records, customer contracts, invoices, payments, or staff account information. Those activities require their own applicable privacy information.

2. Why I use Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the website, which pages receive attention, and where the site can be improved. Analytics is optional and runs only after you agree to it.

Google Signals and advertising features are disabled. I do not use this analytics setup for remarketing, personalized advertising, or building advertising audiences.

3. Information involved

When you consent, analytics may process:

  • Pages viewed, visit times, engagement duration, and interactions such as link clicks or scrolling.
  • The referring website or campaign that brought you here.
  • Browser, device, operating system, language, and screen information.
  • Approximate location, such as country or city, and identifiers used to distinguish browsers and sessions.

Google receives network information when a browser connects to its service. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses and uses IP information to derive approximate location. This does not mean that all analytics information is anonymous.

Passwords, names, email addresses, message contents, private document links, and customer records are not intended to be sent to Google Analytics. Analytics on the public website is separate from JALE’s private workspace.

4. Cookies and your consent

GA4 can use first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_<container-id>, to distinguish visitors and maintain session information. Google lists a default expiration of two years for these cookies; browser limits and site settings can shorten their lifetime, and returning visits may renew them.

You can accept or reject optional analytics through the website’s cookie controls. Declining analytics does not prevent you from reading the public website. Until you accept, the analytics tag remains blocked and no analytics measurement requests are sent to Google.

You can withdraw consent through the same cookie controls. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection; it does not undo processing that already took place while consent was active. Your privacy choice may be stored locally so the website can remember it.

You can also manage or remove cookies in your browser. Clearing site data may remove your saved choice. Google offers an additional Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.

5. Google and other website services

Google processes analytics information to provide the measurement service. Its processing may take place in the United States or other countries where Google operates. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Analytics is separate from the technical processing needed to deliver and protect a website. Hosting and network providers may process connection information and operational logs for those purposes, even when optional analytics is declined.

If you email me, I receive the address and information you choose to send so I can respond. Please do not include passwords or sensitive customer information in a general inquiry.

6. How long information is kept

The studio’s maximum retention period for analytics records that can be associated with an individual browser or visitor is 24 months, unless a longer period is required by applicable law. GA4’s own configured retention period may delete user-level and event-level data sooner. The 24-month limit is a studio policy maximum, not a selectable GA4 retention setting. Any identifiable analytics records exported and kept by the studio are also subject to this limit.

The GA4 retention setting is separate from cookie expiration. Aggregated reports that no longer identify individual visitors may be kept longer; GA4’s user-level and event-level retention controls do not automatically delete those reports. Correspondence and operational records are kept only as needed for their purpose and any applicable legal obligations.

7. Privacy questions and requests

You can contact me to ask about this policy or request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, portability, appeal, or the right to complain to a privacy regulator.

I may need information to verify a request and locate the relevant records. Analytics identifiers do not always allow me to connect a visit with a named person. I will explain any limits that affect your request. Where consent is the basis for optional analytics, you may withdraw it at any time.

8. Updates and contact

I will update this page when the website’s privacy practices change and revise its date. If a new use requires consent, I will ask before using analytics for that purpose.
